JOSHUA TREE
Like a landing craft on the moon this 500sf cabin puts down feet to keep it off the harsh dusty surface. Protection from the elements was the touchstone for every design decision and the flyover roof was principal in sun protection.
Structural steel is both the frame and decoration. Movable gates and wall panels allow the cabin to be completely ‘closed’ for privacy, theft and sweeping brush fires.
JOSHUA TREE
Interiors are simple and bare to accept the resident artist’s latest creations. 1” thick steel plate is buried in the earth to provide un-’steelable’ seating on the desert floor.
